Finally I am done editing the pictures from last night. As some know- I don't like kids. I mean... I would never hurt one or stand by and let one get hurt but...they are not my favorite people to be around.
Cat's sister has the two children that I would even remotely come close to calling family. So I said I would try to take some pictures of them, Christmas pictures.
Manda was an angel, even sitting still for a little makeup work. Adam is always a hand full, not something he can help, but he is.
BUT...
Out of 150 pictures I was able to edit 58 of them, some really nice ones in those. I felt bad really, I mean... I could not get Adam to sit still for a second but Cat told me the people at the studio setting have the same issues.
Lighting- I really need to work on it. Friday I am doing more pictures of different kids.

Makes you wonder how I get into these things, don't it? lol I plan to at least take this shoot to working on getting the lighting down. Glasses- glare.... I need work on those.
Sister is here for Thanksgiving. Went with my other sis to the store early this morning, helped put the food up, yesterday I helped clean mom's house, last night pictures, funeral today... and at 8:30 I am ready for bed. Spending hours editing pictures... I don't know how people do it.
The grave yard service - after I stayed and visit with dad. Just sitting on the ground, talking to him helps. And tears are a good thing, letting the pain out will help me heal. Or so I am told.
You got more good pictures than we've every had to choose from before and we love you for it. Sis and I know it's really hard to work with Adam but you did a great job (better than many of the professionals we've tried) I love that the best ones of Adam you got when we all left you alone with him. :) Not so sure about that no good with kids!
Visiting with your dad is good, we visit Mom and still talk about things. Sometimes it's just the thing to do. *hugs*

Just sent in the Makeup Brushes article. As I was reading the rules before I hit the submit I realized I did not give any links to website, articles I used. I have several saved, meant to go back to them but.. it just kind of flowed out of me as I wrote it. Not that detailed, more of a "Let's sit and chat about makeup" kind of article.
But that is what I wanted- a article that is simple, understanding. I have read articles that just get bogged down to much. I wanted one that showed how where, how, why you use a brush at the area to get the look.
Hope that is how it turned out for members. Now to wait and see if the Admin approve of it. :)
I just watched the performance on YouTube. When he's singing a song that requires a focal point on singing, he's awesome- these songs he's doing now are more geared towards crowd raising. He's a throw-back to 80s hairband scream singing which I do miss :P The fall looked to me like it was meant to happen- he did a roll across that ledge from one person to the next.
I just am over the hype of the media. Just like I love Twilight but not into the media hype over it. All the while... there's no way these things can be as popular as they are without getting 'news' :)
Just wanted to add- I think what sucked about that performance is that he went way over the top for shock value. When people do that- the song is overshadowed. Where's the music these days??? It's hard to find behind the egos of so many performers. That's why people love Billy Joel and Elton John, their songs are what shine.
Yeah, I LOVE Elvis, maybe I am a contradiction :P It doesn't work for everyone.

Yesterday Sis was fixing a roast with potatoes. She was putting it in the oven before she came to work, hoping it would be done for lunch to feed us all. (mom, brother, me and her).
I get a call to come to the house as she had cut the end of her third finger really bad. I walked in to see blood and almost hit the floor. I hate real blood, medical stuff. I can watch a zomie get it head cut off but a bloody finger with skin hanging off its tip... *barf*
She is in a bandage, with those little butterfly things. Safe to say she is not able to do the billing we plan during this slow few days, between brothers surgery and the holiday. Oh well...who needs paid those whole 52 weeks of pay anyway, right?
*sigh*
At least I have all the other bills paid up- so far.
I am just glad she is going to be alright. And my Brother is going nuts with worry about what is coming next week. I don't know what the Dr. said to him in his last visit but they returned and he keeps saying "They are not going to open my chest up. I am not going."
*double sigh*
Who the hell needs drama on a website when you have so much in real life? Reason I stay to myself a lot on here it seems. I just go along, talking to my wonderful housemates and a few others.

Brother is going in on Tuesday for his heart. Let's hope the stints work or they are looking at open heart and two or three days stay in the hospital.
They really can't tell with him as they do not know his family medical background. He is adopted and while I have had several Uncles, Aunts have them and no problem, but with Ray....they will not know till they are doing the operation.
And that he smokes a pack a day is not helping at all. My sis is taking hell as she is trying to wing him off them, but no good so far.
This Thanksgiving is going to be a long one for us- either way. But I am very thankful we are all together. And missing dad like crazy.

Just a basic info about how to buy them, what kinds there are out there to buy, how to apply.
I have already started the research on some of my favorite sites. Just need to go to the makeup books, go to the public library and see what I can find. And I need to study more about the color wheel, how to use it for combinations.
Hell...most times I just go with what I think looks good. I make mistakes but then I learn from those. But when you read some articles, books about makeup they get so tech about it. I want to do one that anyone can understand and not need a degree in chemistry to make heads or tails of.
Going to start on these after Thanksgiving. Wow- it is only a week away. :)
Last night Birdy and I went to Walmart. I was running low on laundry supplies and wanted to hit the store before the crazy seasonal shoppers started. After what felt like hours in the store I offered to buy her some ice cream. As we headed back to my place she called her mom and dad to check on them. Her dad answer the phone and he tells her he was shaving, going to give the phone to her mom. She asked me “Why would my dad be shaving at 8:00pm?” I joked it was because they was going to get busy. A little nookie. She suddenly needed to throw up.
Her mom came on the phone and they talked for a few minutes and sure enough- she asked her mom why he was shaving. I don’t know how it was said but he said that he did not shave every day. ??
She gave me a look…and I started to sing “Let’s get it on…” Barry White song.
I really think she would of hit me if she wasn’t driving with ice cream.

Next time I see her parents with her I am going to sing "You lost that loving feeling.... that loving feeling."

Looking forward to the weekend with no plans. Birdy is busy, thinking of asking Cat over to help with the hair coloring. May do a make up picture, got a look in mind from the Lady Gaga video.
My papa(grandfather) has been dead 12 years, and I can't remember his voice at all. If I didn't have a picture of him, I don't think I'd remember what he looked like. I have memories, but I really miss his voice.

I see them in ways few do. At one of the most stressful time- moving days. The family has been upset from school and friends, one of the parents is leaving or still on tour, and their lives are all turned around.
I see the clothing they wear when they are not in uniform. I see the book, music, movies they watch. I hear the kids talk to their parents, how they interact. The hugs they share, the laughter. I see a family whole, or with one very important person missing.
I see the look in the wife/husband face as they tell you how long they been gone, and how many times they have moved. How they became a military family, started in the service, the pride coming thru in their voices, the pictures and awards on the walls.
I also see the anguish when they see the items of a lost one. The way they cling to a shirt or a picture as you bring in the last tie of the military- personal household items. I see the tears, the kids talking of their father and how he went to heaven. I see a family torn apart by death. I see a wife, husband, mother, father and kids trying to deal with a new life without the one they loved.
Today is Veterans’ Day. And I am honored to live in a country that has a volunteer military of men and women who defend our right. Think of that when you speak ill of the government. These people give you that right- you are not thrown in a hole in the ground, beaten, killed for expressing your feelings.
I have issues with the government, with how the war is going. And trust me- some of the people in the military have issues. But I also know the people who are on the front line are there because they want to be. They are soliders and do what they are order to do. They believe in the greater good. We need to honor that.
You said it better than I ever could, Rat. I just got back from a ceremony honoring our Veterans at the school, where I got to shake some hands and personally say thank you. Those folks deserve so much more than that.
That's one aspect of your work I never thought about before....well said !

Lady Gaga is not the best singer but you have to give it to her for the outfits, the make-up, and the look of her videos.
Newest one (at least for me). I so want to try at least three of the makeup looks in this. And the part with her standing in 'rain" of crystals... I love.
She became famous after she came to Malta for the Isle of MTV, so she could consider Malta as her place of birth for her success, or so I've heard anyway, not a fan of MTV.

I see the Health Bill passed. While I agree with some of it,still reading about it, the big problem I have with it-
It will require women enrolled in the exchange to purchase supplemental abortion insurance with private funds if they want to be covered for the service in the future.

Rat roams the playground of VR, eating the last of her cheese snack as she enjoys the peace and quiet when a member she does not know runs up to her. “You should add me as a friend! We can be friends!”
Rat’s eyes go big as she drops the last of the cheese, grabbing the member by her shoulders and spins her around as she yells back “We can? Are you going to chat with me everyday? Are you willing to learn all my deep dark secrets and keep them? Are you? Huh? ARE YOU?! Will you never get tried of me wanting to take your shoes from you? And can you listen to opera as we chat on web cam? When you come online can I yahoo and send you a message each and every time? Can you listen to me chatting about the little ball that float in the toilet‘s tank? I find those soooo sexy. Can ya? Huh? Huh? CAN YOU?!”
Rat lets her go now that she made her dizzy and turning a little green. “We can share all that we do each day…like how many times I poop, and what color your pee is. And you can tell me how many time you have thought of butter cream frosting. And we can compare how long our toe nail clipping are and the size of our sinus cough ups in the morning… you know those thick mucus… and we can save them and send them to each other. I have a whole matchbox full already. OH MY …BUT THIS IS GOING TO BE SUCH FUN!” Rat lets out a loud long scream as she jumps up and down, then stops to just start back with a crazy laughter as she spins in a circle, eyes still wide.
Rat stops just as she is ready to throw up…thinking a good upchuck would send this girl off when she holds her head still enough to see her running off. “WAIT! Where you going…don’t you want to be friends with me anymore!” Rat gives a moan as her body tries to stop spinning, leaning to one side as her belly tries to finish the spin cycle. As the girl disappears around the corner rat picks up the cheese she dropped and wiped it off, and gives it a little nibble.
“Well hell…act like I am not a catch at all. I am a damn good catch god damn it!” She says, letting out a fart. She smiles and goes along her walk.
Went and seen Paranormal Activity last night with Birdy. Well…she went and watched The Wild Things while I went to go see the movie I have heard and read so much about. I went in expecting to have the shit scared out of me and I have to say…it was good movie.
I sat only a few rolls up from the screen, in the middle where I like to sit, all comfortable and had a few seconds of “oh shit” heart pounding scares. Only a few people was in the theater with me, three of those teen girls who had to scream at every little thing. *sigh* Good lord folks- it is a movie…shut up!
I can see why the ad is showing the audience watching the movie as the movie itself was very Blair Witch style. Not that bad on the bobbing and jerking of the camera but the setting up the areas that you “knew” something was going to happen. The true scares came from when they just threw in a noise, or an action. That was creepy.
Read a article about some big wig producer bitching about these low end movies being made. The movie The Village cost $71,682,975.00 to make. This movie cost was between $10,000 to $11,000. I know I know… like putting a apple beside a orange but still I have seen both movies and Paranormal Activity gave me a LOT more for my money.
I love horror- but the blood dripping, violence, and stupid story lines are not my favorites. Take this movie- simple story line we learned of early in the plot told by the lady, no flash backs to her childhood, no drawn out mystery of what is happening. And the use of two actors (? Are they even?) gave you a feel of these are just people dealing with this demon. And we get to watch because of his obsession with the camera.
No blood- no head being ripe off, no guns or knifes, no sex, no bounding the victim up. Good clean scares till the end when you do see a little blood. Horror- without that?! Yes Sir…and it was good to. Birdy and Cat would even watch this if I told them that. Well...maybe not. :)
This movie has made $77,873 it’s first weekend. And I hope it keeps doing well as I want more just like it. If that means the next one cost 10,000 or 70 million I just don’t care. I will be paying the same $7.00 to have those moments of being scared. Yes- those million dollor movies is what made my ticket that high but...what can you do? Just learn from this movie Hollywood- Not so much the gore but more about the scare. Not so much on the sets, the location- hell this happens in a normal house and back yard. Cost for that??
Anyway...Something I can’t see but hear the footsteps, breathing of is more frightening to me then a man with a mask with a chain saw.
The mind is much more frightening than tv anyway. I wouldn't mind seeing it either.

Said to myself this morning I needed to check all my VR accounts. So I have done all but the sci fi groups, and one other account. Posted and read, cleaned up forums, and it has taken me almost three hours. God damn but that is a long time.
Why so many accounts? Well… that is a long story but I got the one Sire because I wanted to open up a sci fi group. So we have mine (one you are reading) another one…and another one to write with…another one for charity…and another one because the dick screwed over the charity….and then add the eight or so groups…
It would take me half a freaking day to check all these accounts.
It might not be so bad if they did not have positions in them. I mean… it bothers me that I don’t do my job with them. That I only pop in two or three times a week- if I am lucky.
I think going into 2010 is having me pulling some of these accounts out of places, putting them in House Eternal where they can sit and not having me worry about not doing my job. Not fair to the members who are active in the Coven/House to have me not doing my job, as I remember having inactive leaders and it would piss me off.
After Dad pasted away I realized just how much time I spend sitting at a computer and really- I don’t have that desire to do it any more. Not enough to keep all these profile active. Not by a long shot.
I want to do more with my make up studies, more with my photographs, more with my family as Mom is getting older with each day- seems to be aging right in front of my eyes. And my brother is needing surgery on his heart and this will bring more stress to our family, dealing with his recovery.
In other words… I don’t have the time or energy to spend on those extra accounts. Sad really…as I am lucky enough to be in some great places.
Now- work to catch up on, skip lunch due to the time I used. *sigh* Yeap- time to do something about these extra accounts.
And don't forget time for friends!! Thanks for our "movie in separate theaters" date.. lol

But I wanted to bring the other side of the site to light- the side that is of people who don’t attack, who know you are just doing a job, and care to bring something to this site. I had actually just gone over my porfolio last night and removed all of the items from the net, and had replaced them with images of myself and ones that had been taken by myself or my friends.
